JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.
THEME: THE GOD'S JUSTICE (PART 1).
Beloved, the righteousness of GOD is simply the right we have as children of GOD to stand before him as if we had never sinned and we receive it by faith by believing this good news that because of Jesus Christ we are the righteousness of GOD.
This, it must be specified, is the unique merit of Jesus Christ because the word of GOD reveals to us in Galatians 3:13 that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by himself becoming a curse for us so that we might be blessed and justified by him before GOD. Which means that it is Jesus Christ, our righteousness before GOD. It is therefore not a question that if we believe by faith that we have been redeemed by him from the curse that we still walk with the consciousness of sin which distances us from GOD the Father.
It is an exchange that was made on the cross between Christ and us according to the will of GOD because Jesus took our sins and gave us his righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).
We must therefore feel free from any bad conscience, loved by GOD and justified because our heavenly Father, the Lord seeks communion with all (men) to testify to his love for all. This is also why it is said in Romans 1:16-17 that the Gospel is the power of GOD to reveal justice.
This is also why we no longer have to fear our heavenly Father because in Jesus Christ, he is no longer angry with us and moreover no longer keeps the memory of our offenses as revealed in Hebrews 10:14-18 and we must know that GOD has always wanted to show us his love and walk with us: hence the communion.
And in this respect, it is said that the ministry of righteousness is far superior in glory to the ministry of condemnation because we were found incapable of pleasing GOD on the basis of our works (2 Corinthians 3:9) hence also the grace of GOD based on what Jesus did for us. And we leave the old covenant (the law given by GOD to Moses) for the New covenant in Jesus Christ (grace).
In this other respect also it is clear that the image if not the only one that we must worship is that of GOD: Jesus Christ.
So being aware of all this, will we thus remain in sin under the pretext that we are under grace?
to this question the apostle Paul will answer: far from it because if, although we are under the covenant of grace, we continue to live voluntarily in sin then we expose ourselves to the enemy and open spiritual doors through which he could reach us to rob us, slaughter us and destroy us (John 10:10).
Certainly in the next message we will show you how but let us know with assurance that the Lord is our justice (Jeremiah 23:6).
We are blessed in the name of Jesus Christ.
