JESUS CHRIST IS LORD

THEME: ENTER INTO REST FOR YOU ALREADY HAVE IT.

Beloved, God created Man lastly so that he might enter into rest. The Word says that "he rested on the seventh day from all his work", Genesis 2:2. He commands man to subdue creation and have dominion over it.

Let us understand, God does not rest because he is tired but because he has finished everything. That is to say that entering into God's rest is doing oriented work.

In Christ, we are blessed with all kinds of spiritual blessings in the heavenly places. Unfortunately, when faced with difficulties, we tend to hold God responsible. However, the Lord in his grace has given us the power to be more than conquerors.

Beloved, we already have the thing we ask God for in our prayers. Our prayers are not accepted by God because they are a string of accusations and unfounded claims. They should rather be an expression of recognition and gratitude. Indeed, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and God, in all his glory, dwells in us through Christ in whom he has deployed all his power to resurrect him from the dead.

The Christian must therefore realize that the Lord has already provided for all his needs long before he even thinks about it. He must in all circumstances give glory: "To him who is able to do, according to the power that works within us, immeasurably more than all we ask or think," as Ephesians 3:20 affirms. He must definitely be aware that he carries God within him so that the power of the resurrection is triggered.

In short, the Christian must put this power into action through the word of God. He must declare good things in his life and have a firm assurance of what he has declared; because we are what we think and say, according to Proverbs 23:7 "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Eat and drink, he will say to you; but his heart is not with you."

Let us remain abundantly blessed in the name of Jesus Christ!

Amen
